Why am I starting a newsletter now? 🤔

Getting your first words out is always the most difficult part

Hola, my friend,

Thank you for reading the first issue of Lo-fi Snippets. Let me tell you why I started this.

It’s been various years now since I had an aspiration of putting myself out there on the internet. Why? I guess I was inspired by all of the people on the internet who have done it before and have had a positive impact on my life. I’ve learned so much about so many different topics, from the newest research on quantum theory to how to boil the perfect egg. All of this is to say that I believe there is power in sharing your experience, knowledge, and thoughts (This applies to you as well, everyone has something to offer 😉).

That’s my main reason, but I will tell you a few more to make this a stronger case, and who knows, maybe you can start something similar as well:

  • Potential of new opportunities 🚀. I heard once that the world is ruled by people that shamelessly promote themselves. Well, I’m giving this a try. I don’t know exactly where this little experiment will end, but there’s the potential for new good things to come from it. A billion-dollar business, maybe (dreaming big is free), or something as simple as getting to know new interesting people because they like what you share. As the saying goes: ”If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” You can say I’m building one right now.

  • Improving my communication skills ✍🏽. I believe writing effectively (and communicating in general, for that matter) is one of the most critical skills in any career. Do you think your ideas have value? Communicating them effectively with others is how you get them to become a reality. Rarely will you be able to build on your ideas alone; you will need people, and to get people, you have to get them to listen to you, and you only get that by being a great communicator.

  • It’s just fun 🥳. I’m enjoying writing this newsletter, and I will keep enjoying it. So, why not? Luckily, I need no one’s permission to do this, so there’s really no good reason not to do it.

Hopefully, you can resonate with some of these ideas and go with me along the journey.

Now that I have over-explained myself 😅, I can tell you what you can expect from this newsletter.

Nothing is set in stone just yet, but I plan to share with you every week a mix of cool internet resources (articles, songs, videos, etc.), random shower thoughts (aka. reflections), and my opinion on various topics (business, tech, media, and others).

Thanks again for reading this first issue.

Eat your vegetables, stay hydrated, and have a great day 😁.
